GTX 1070 TI 8 GB Video Card

The 1070 TI ranges between $500 and $600 in Canada, and between $400-$500 respectively in the United States. The 1070 Ti features 8 GB of DDR5 RAM. When there was more of a cryptocurrency craze happening and BitCoin had a higher value (which was not very long ago), the cost of this card was quite a bit higher. Now is somewhat of a good time to buy a card in the 1070 or 1080 range because Geforce has recently released newer cards, pushing the cost of these down so they are somewhat more affordable.

You should have a 500 watt power supply or bigger to run this card. The Founder’s Edition card is the best version of this card as it applies to mining. This card was once $450, but now on Amazon it goes for $1800 CAD. That’s quite a bit – so you can see how much a good card for cryptocurrency has become inflated as of late.

Gigabyte Geforce 1070ti 8 GB Video Card

The Geforce 1070ti is more affordable now, and packs a punch with 8 GB of DDR5 video ram.

The founder’s edition has 2432 cuda cores. This is a well regarded card when it comes to mining. With a good overclocking utility, you can boost hash rates by 10% or more. Overclocking utilities can be used from Windows so you don’t need to do this from BIOS anymore like in the old days.

As newer cards are released by Geforce, this will push the cost of the 1070ti down. The 1070 and 1080 series used to be so expensive that gamers would not even consider purchasing one. GamersĀ  cursed the cryptocurrency miners, who pushed the cost of video cards up as anything with CUDA cores was being gobbled up in the cryptocurrency rush.
